Our team took part in a virtual horse racing event to raise money for the Jim Jackson Foundation

Over the past few years, we have challenged ourselves with charity initiatives including walking the combined distance from the Manor to Jill and Jim’s house in France and abseiling down the Peacehaven cliffs. This year we embraced a new theme with a virtual horse racing day and it was a huge success.

Everyone dressed the part with our point-to-point inspired dress code which brought a real sense of fun and spirit to the day. Held at our Head Office, the event featured a lottery style system where we could back winning horses and claim prizes. We also enjoyed an incredible lunch from local business Antipasti by the Sea and raised a toast with prosecco gifted from Plumpton College, who work closely with the Jim Jackson Foundation.

We had the privilege of hearing an inspiring update on how the Foundation and its partners are making a difference! Together the team raised £1,300 which will go directly towards empowering disadvantaged young people to step into the world of business. The Jim Jackson Foundation provides vital opportunities including vocational courses, equipment, work experience placements and apprenticeships which help young people take their first steps into their careers.

Special recognition goes to the Jim Jackson Foundation team for organising such a brilliant day, to David Morgan for providing sound equipment and creating a bespoke playlist and to Jenny Mockford and her husband Ross who hand built and painted the incredible stand that brought the event to life!
